This little silky-soft girl is still learning how to trust. Mage came to the shelter very scared and ended up on quarantine after a defensive bite when she was being handled. She wasn’t aggressive — just terrified.

Since coming into foster care, Mage has started to show her sweet side. She hissed at first but began purring the moment I gently pet her and spoke to her. She’s still shy but very calm and well-behaved. She uses the litter box perfectly and eats both wet and dry food.

Mage will need continued gentle handling and socialization, but she’s already made a lot of progress. With time and patience Mage has the potential to become a very affectionate companion.

She hasn’t been around other animals or children yet, so I’m not sure how she would do with them.

 

Adoption fee is $50.00 and includes the spay surgery, initial vaccinations, rabies, microchip and Feline Leuk/FIV testing.
